Biography

Started 14 games last year, sharing the team lead, and saved the MAAC Title Game, retiring all eight batters he faced...won the first round MAAC playoff game over Canisius...started the first game of every MAAC series last year...led the 2008 team in strikeouts and innings pitched...was named the MAAC Pitcher of the Week Feb. 18-24...defeated Maryland Eastern Shore in the 2008 season opener, striking out seven in six innings...struck out nine Manhattan Jaspers in six and a third innings, struck out nine Iona Gaels in six and two-thirds innings, struck out nine Canisius Griffs in seven and two-thirds innings, struck out eight Saint Peter’s Peacocks in five innings...picked off a team-high 11 runners... led the 2007 team in wins, ERA, strikeouts and innings and was named the 2007 team Most Valuable Pitcher (Bob Koehler Award)...as a sophomore led Rider in earned run average, wins, innings pitched and strike outs...as a sophomore allowed just three hits in eight innings in his first collegiate start, defeating Washington State...also earned victories over East Tennessee State, Saint Joseph’s, Canisius, and Niagara in 2007... struck out 12 Fairfield batters in his final game of the 2007 season...pitched the first 11 and one-third innings of his collegiate career without allowing an earned run...recorded his first collegiate win against Mercer University in three and a third scoreless innings while allowing only two hits in a high scoring game...pitched a perfect game in high school and led his team to two Mercer County Championships...Communication major.
