2008 Bob Koehler Award winner as the team’s Most Valuable Pitcher...a member of the 2008 MAAC All-Tournament team...shut out Siena (8 innings) in MAAC tournament one day after Siena scored 24 runs in a playoff game...earned Second Team All-NJCBA last year...twice a member of the MAAC All-Academic team...17-15 career record is 15^th best ever at Rider... is now 14-9 against MAAC teams...pitched the seven inning game in the MAAC series’ last year and led the squad in compete games...defeated Liberty, Manhattan, Marist, Fairfield, Niagara, Saint Peter’s and Siena last season...entered the NCAA Regional 10^th in the nation in least walks per nine (1.02) before walking four Virginia batters in five and two-thirds innings...had seven strike outs in seven innings in MAAC win over Fairfield...Rider was 9-5 in his 14 starts last year...was second on the team in innings pitched and shared the team lead in starts...best earned run average on the team among starters...led the staff with 19 strikeouts looking after compiling 18 backwards K’s in 2007 and 24 in 2006...as a sophomore led the Broncs with 12 starts and ranked second on the 2007 team in victories and strikeouts, third in innings pitched...defeated Saint Peter’s, Siena, Iona and Niagara in 2007...named the 2006 New Jersey Rookie Pitcher of the Year...was second on the 2006 team in wins...struck out two batters in his first two innings of collegiate work as a relief pitcher...as a freshman collected wins over Saint Joseph’s, Marist, Fairfield, Iona, Saint Peter’s and Manhattan...helped Holy Ghost Prep win the District Championship as the game’s winning pitcher as a sophomore...All-League and County MVP as a senior, earning Bucks County Courier Times Player of the Year honors...Accounting major.
