2014 is Eric's first season as an assistant coach with the Rider baseball team...a resident of Hamilton, NJ, Eric served as an assistant baseball coach at The College of New Jersey the last three years while obtaining his master’s degree in Educational Leadership.  During his time at TCNJ the Lions qualified for the conference tournament all three years...2010 Rider graduate with a degree in Secondary Education/History...144-game veteran with 91 hits and 10 doubles...started 22 games in 2009, one as the DH and the rest behind the plate...Rider was 11-10 in the games he started at catcher...was second on the team in sacrifice bunts...started nine MAAC games last year and collected five hits, including a home run in a win at Niagara...compiled three RBI and scored two runs in his first two games of 2009...compiled three hits, four RBI and two runs scored in a victory at Niagara...started 28 games behind the plate in 2008 and Rider was 17-11 in those games...batted .367 with two outs in 2008, second best on the team...collected an RBI single in the 2008 season-opening win at Maryland Eastern Shore...collected a hit against Cal State Fullerton at the 2008 NCAA Regional...started 26 games behind the plate as a rookie...started 17 MAAC games as a rookie and collected 13 hits...collected three hits in his first two collegiate games...All-CVC, All-Mercer and team MVP at Hamilton West, graduating with honors.
