Rider Hires Reilly Assistant Coach

LAWRENCEVILLE-Tim Reilly will serve as an assistant baseball coach at Rider University this season, Rider head coach Barry Davis said.

Reilly comes to Rider from Rutgers, where he is scheduled to graduate in January with a degree in Sports Management.  While at Rutgers he served as an assistant coach under Fred Hill.

"We are excited to have Tim on board with us," said Rider head coach Barry Davis, who led the Broncs to their second NCAA Tournament in the last three years.  "He will bring energy to our program.  His desire and work ethic are evident."

Reilly has worked at the Second To None Baseball Academy in Margate as a skills/conditioning coach under Johnny Monell.

A summer ball head coach for Holy Spirit High School, Reilly played four years on the Rutgers varsity baseball team and was named to the Big East All-Academic team.

"Tim will work with the catchers and will be our third base coach," said Davis, who won a Rider-record 36 games last season.

Reilly joins Jaime Steward and Ray Scipione on the Bronc staff.

Reilly replaces Pat Horvath, who is now the head coach at Philadelphia University.
