Rider Indoor Golf Facility - Maurer Athletic Center

In April of 2003, Rider University opened its new indoor golf practice facility on its campus in Lawrenceville, N.J. The facility is thought to be the only facility of its kind at an NCAA Men's Division I golf program on the East Coast.

The indoor practice facility, located in the Maurer athletic center, includes a 1,200-square-foot SofTrak Synthetic Putting Green and nine-hole putting area; two elevated holes; a 580-square foot chipping fringe; four hitting stations; a driving net and driving mats; and a videotape analysis center.

The facility was built by SofTrak dealer Mike O’Brien of Feasterville, Pa., in conjunction with then Rider Associate Athletic Director and Head Golf Coach Chet Dalgewicz and through the generous contributions of Ralph and Kathy Anderson and Donn and Eileen Winokur.

Pictured below are members of the 2007 Rider Golf team practicing in the facility under the direction of head coach Bob Whartenby (Rider '04).
