Rider University Athletics

At Rider:
Geosciences/Marine Sciences major…as a junior, swam his fastest 50 free (21.85) at the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships as Rider finished third…swam 48.32 in the 100 free at the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, helping Rider win its fifth straight team title…also swam 50.81 in the 100 fly in the same meet…as a sophomore, swam his best times in the 100 free (46.29), 200 IM (1:53.97) and 400 IM (4:11.77) at the 2015 MAAC Championships as Rider won the team title for the fourth year in a row...as a Rider rookie, was part of two MAAC gold medal winning relay teams, the 200 medley (1:31.88) and the 400 medley (3:21.76) and was also part of two relays that won silver at MAACs, the 200 free relay (1:23.14) and 400 free relay (3:02.85) as Rider won the men's team title for the third straight season...best 50 free time of the season was at Princeton's Big Al (22.06).

At Upper Dublin High School:
Four-year letterwinner for swimming…All-State in the 400 free relay and swam on the state record breaking relay (3:00.23) at the Pennsylvania AAA State Championship meet…was also 18th at the PIAA Class AAA State Championship meet in the 200 IM and 100 fly as a senior…All District 1 honors in the 200 IM, 100 fly, 200 free relay and 400 free relay…best times were 1:55.53 (200 IM), 51:77 (100 fly), 1:00.00 (100 breast), 55:05 (100 back), 1:44.61 (200 free), 47:71 (100 free), 21.92 (50 free)…C.J. Martin Most Improved Swimmer as a junior…Jackie Shuman Coaches Award for leadership and responsibility as a senior…Donald Peoples memorial award recipient (as the athlete every coach would want on their team) as a senior…also lettered in track running the 400, 800 and 4x800 relay and was an Upper Dublin Senior Athletic Award honoree (for five varsity letters) …personal: son of Tim and Natalie Flynn…mother is a professor at Temple University…hobbies include playing jazz, Ultimate Frisbee and CrossFit…plays the clarinet and saxophone…also swims for the Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and helped set the 400 free relay meet record (3:03.18) at the Eastern Zone Sectional Championship.
