At Rider:
Majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education...two-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree…swam 48.13 in the 100 free at the 2016 MAAC Championships as Rider won the team title for the fifth year in a row…season-best time of 1:43.73 in the 200 free at the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships and swam 4:43.96 in the 500 free at the same meet as Rider placed third…best 200 back time of the season came at Princeton’s Big Al (1:58.82)…as a sophomore, swam a season-best time of 1:43.98 in the 200 free at the 2015 ECAC Championships and also swam a season-best time of 4:44.48 in the 500 free and 1:56.62 in the 200 back in the same meet…top time in the 100 back came during the Brown Invitational (54.12)…set three season-best marks as a Rider rookie at the 2014 MAAC Championships, 1:43.81 in the 200 free, 4:50.01 in the 500 free and 16:30.54 in the 1650 free as Rider won the team title…also posted his top time of the year in the 50 back at the 2014 ECAC Championships (25.52) and swam 49.31 in the 100 free at Princeton’s Big Al.

At Hempfield High School:
Four-year letterwinner for swimming…All-Lancaster-Lebanon League honors in the 200 free in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and 100 back (2011, 2012)…15-time Lancaster-Lebanon League medalist and 12-time PIAA District 3 AAA District medalist…team won the Lancaster-Lebanon League championship…finished second in the 200 free (league), third in the 200 free (PIAA) and 18th in the 200 free at the PIAA AAA State championships...academic honor roll…personal: son of Dennis and Gwyn Atkinson…older sister swam for Towson University…also swims for the Diplomat Swim Club…three-time All-American Invitational individual champion in the 200 free (2011, 2012, 2013).
