Biography
At Rider:
Graduated with a Journalism major and a Biology minor…two-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree…best time of the season in the 50 free (20.82) resulted in a MAAC bronze medal and was fifth in the finals of the 200 back (1:52.04) and eighth in the finals of the 100 back (52.00) as Rider won its fifth straight team title at the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships…was on the MAAC record setting 200 free relay (1:20.75) and 400 free relay (2:59.56) that won MAAC gold…finished eighth in the finals of the 100 free (45.99) at the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships as Rider placed third…as a junior, swam his best 50 free (20.83) and 100 back (52.17) at the 2015 MAAC Championships as Rider won the team title for the fourth year in a row…swam his best 100 back (47.17) at the 2015 ECAC Championships and his best 200 back (1:51.39) time came at the Brown University Invitational…as a sophomore, won a bronze medal in the 200 backstroke at the 2014 MAAC as Rider won the team title for the third straight time...was also part of two silver medal winning relays at MAACs, the 200 free (1:23.14) and the 400 free (3:02.85)...best time of the season in the 50 free (21.13) came at MAACs and he posted his top 100 free time of 46.47 and 100 back time of 51.96 at MAACs...as a Rider rookie, was the 2013 MAAC champion in the 200 back (1:50.32)…also finished sixth in the 50 free (20.96 prelim) and 11th in the 200 free (1:43.85) at MAACs…qualified for the ECACs in the 50 free and 100 free…in a dual meet against Seton Hall, finished second in the 100 and 200 back…in a MAAC dual meet against Loyola Maryland, finished second in the 200 back…was fourth in the 200 back (1:50.32), sixth in the 50 free (20.96) and 10th in the 100 back (53.48) on the Short Course Yard top 10…was second in the 50 back, fourth in the 200 back, fifth in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 back on the Long Course Meter top 10.
At Tabb High School:
Four-year letterwinner, swimming the backstroke and free...four-time state qualifier and was a state champion as a senior...team won the Virginia State High School championship meet...NCSA qualifier in 2011 and 2012...USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in 2011...Virginia Award of Excellence in 2010...four-year academic honor roll and highest academic honor roll recognition as a senior...Personal: Son of Jeffrey and Wendy Prichard...older brother Sydney, younger sister Hailey.
