At Colts Neck High School:
Third in career strikeouts (8.28 per seven innings) and fourth in earned run average (2.60)...pitched 48 innings and struck out 62 batters as a senior, with opponents batting .235 against him...pitched a no-hitter against Freehold Township...as a junior he was 2-0 with a 0.84 earned run average, compiling 24 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched...also played basketball and football and was Second Team All-Shore in football and team MVP in basketball.
