AMBLER, PA – The Rider University men's and women's cross country teams picked up a pair of fourth place finishes at this year's edition of the Temple XC invite, with the men scoring 116 points while the women scored 77 points.
Men
"We ran a young and inexperienced group today and I thought that they did a really nice job. There were some big lessons that we learned today that we need to carry forward. Berto and Melvin ran strong races today. Cross country is a big step up for them but I thought they made a ton of progress from previous years."

- Alberto Castillo and Melvin Lewis rounded out the Broncs top two finishers in the men's competition, posting times of 22:13.1 and 22:15.5 to finish in 17th and 20th places respectively.
- Jake Wickersham finished in 27th with a time of 22:42.7 while Dylan Guarquila and Christopher Gray placed 33rd and 38th with times of 22:53.6 and 23:20.2.
- Rounding out the backend of the Broncs runners were Will Portman and Amir Halim who posted times of 23:28.8 and 25:42.6, placing in 39th and 52nd respectively.
- The men's top 7 averaged a time of 23:14 while notching a spread of 3:30 to record a total time of 2:42:37.
Women
"The women raced really well today. I felt that they executed the race plans really well and raced with some confidence. It was a really nice start to the season and this gives us great momentum for the start of the season. Ashley ran a really nice race today. Freshman year can be intimidating but she showed a lot of confidence today. Faith ran a great race today. She raced with confidence and belief today which is a huge step forward. This was a great start and an exciting start to the season for her." –

- Ashley Doyle and Faith Evans came in as the Broncs highest finishers in Ambler across both competitions, logging 6th and 8th place finishes with times of 16:06.8 and 16:10.1 respectively.
- Rebekah Hickey, Victoria Botte, and Kaelyn Barker finished in succession with 20th, 21st and 2nd place finishes, earning times of 16:39.3, 16:41.8, and 16:49.2.
- Riley Servis and Maddie Bacharde checked in on the backend of the Broncs runners, posting times of 17:02.5 and 18:43.1 respectively, placing in 25th and 43rd.
- The women's top-7 averaged a time of 16:54 while notching a spread of 2:37 to record a total time of 1:58:13.
