PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA – The Rider University golf team kicked off play for the 2026-27 season with the first 36 holes of play at the Temple Invitational Monday. The Broncs rounded out the day eighth in the 12-team field with a total score of +32.
 
The Broncs had a strong first round, sitting third in the team competition after the opening 18 holes. Jules De Reu fired off five birdies and shot a one-under 34 on the front nine, to finish round one tied for third. JP Hoban had four birdies during an opening-round 75, Nathan Tallinder shot a four-over 74 with Colby Bent carding a 76 to round out the counting team scores.
 
In round two, Bent led the way for Rider with four birdies, carding a one-over 71, including a one-under 34 on the back nine. Tallinder had three birdies one a one-under 34 front nine before finishing the round at three over. Hoban matched his first round with a 75 and De Reu shot a 77 in round two.
 
The Broncs are back in action Tuesday for the final round of play at the Temple Invitational.
