Quotes and Notes
"
Kyle Batt was excellent today. He came out and filled up the strike zone, throwing 65 strikes out of 97 pitches. I thought we played solid defense behind him overall. We did drop a couple of pop-ups, which are things we'll need to clean up, but Kyle really did a great job on the mound.
The home run by Shuhet was huge. Even though it made it 6-1 at the time, that swing really helped us feel more comfortable and gave us some breathing room. Offensively, we stayed consistent throughout the game. Will was also outstanding at third base today.
Overall, it was just a good win with two big innings that made the difference. We feel good heading into tomorrow with our pitching staff intact. Now it's just about coming out ready to play and putting together another strong performance."
