The Broncs opened the scoring early in North Jersey in the 6th minute as Annie Small found herself in front of goal, sliding the ball past the goalkeeper to put the Broncs up 1-0 within the first 10 minutes. Ava DeGeorge doubled the lead minutes later in the 11th minute, taking on a long range shot whilst putting the ball over the goalkeeper's head to go up 2-0.

Saint Peter's scored a penalty two minutes later in the 13th minute to cut the lead to one before tying the game up in the 27th minute, scoring on a rebounded shot to make things interesting. Rider once again took the lead in the 37th minute as Courtney Carter converted on a penalty to go up 3-2 while sending the Broncs into the halftime break with the lead.

Rider increased the lead to start the second half, as Cali Friedel scrambled for the ball in the 56th minute off of a corner, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net to take a 4-2 lead. Possession bounced back and forth throughout the rest of the second half, with Ashley Moore completing a save in the 82nd minute to retain the half's shutout and round out the road victory for the Broncs.

QUOTES & NOTES

"I was really pleased with how we responded in the second half. We pressed well early in the game and got our reward with two goals, but we let them back into it. In the second half we kept the ball better, got numbers forward and won the second balls, and the back four were really strong." – Head Coach Drayson Hounsome
