Men's Golf Opens 2025-26 at Blue Hen Intercollegiate

Broncs sit tied for 8th after first two rounds

WILMINGTON, DE – Sebastian Pell (Center Rutland, VT/Rutland) shot 74-78-152 (+8, T-19th) to lead the Rider University men's golf team in its season-opening tournament, the Blue Hen Intercollegiate, Monday at White Clay Creek Country Club. The Broncs 314-309-623 (+47) to sit tied for eighth following the first two of three rounds.

Pell fired three birdies in a two-over 74 for his first round, before collecting a pair of birdies in his second round, shooting 78 (+6). Riley Richards (East Montpelier, VT/U-32 [Franklin Pierce]) was next for the Broncs, shooting 78-76-154 (+10, T-29th) on the day. Andrew Bilson (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) shot 81-76-157 (+13, T-42nd), while the Broncs also counted Ryan Jones' (Canton, NY/Canton Central) 81-79-160 (+16, T-49th). Luke Canino (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) also made his Rider debut, shooting 84-86-170 (+26, T-65th).


NOTES
- Host Delaware (284-288-572, -4) leads the field after two rounds as the only team to finish two rounds under par. Binghamton sits second at 596 (+20).
- The Blue Hens' Arsit Areephun leads the individual leaderboard at 68-69-137 (-7), three strokes ahead of teammate Jeff Homer (71-69-140, -4).
- The Broncs are the only MAAC school in competition at the tournament.

The Broncs wrap up play at the Blue Hen Intercollegiate Tuesday morning. A shotgun start is scheduled for 9 a.m.
