POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team was defeated at Marist Saturday afternoon, 185-109. The Broncs fall to 0-3 and 0-2 in MAAC meets, while the Red Foxes improve to 2-1 both overall and in league meets.
The Broncs won four events in the meet.
Donja Tripp (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame) won the 50-free with a time of 24.47.
In the 200-back,
Casey Morgan (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and Aubree-Claire Alewine-Frasier (Jefferson, GA/Jefferson) swam one-two, stopping the clock at 2:10.67 and 2:11.33.
The Broncs swept the 200-IM with
Casey McLaughlin (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey),
Rachel Hutchins, and
Megan Smith (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy) swimming times of 2:18.30, 2:21.59, and 2:24.52.
Rider closed out the day winning the 400-free relay with
Sonya Mishakova (Bali, Indonesia/Australian Independent School Bali),
Lea Opdyke (Ocala, FL/West Port), Morgan, and Tripp combining to stop the clock at 3:43.46.
NOTES & QUOTES
- McLaughlin was second in the 1,000-free and the 500-free.
- Mishakova and Opdyke were two-three in the 200-free.
- Morgan was third in the 100-back.

Karyn Creelman (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) and
Campbell Dopler (Bettendorf, IA/Bettendorf), were two-three on the 3-meter. Dopler was also second on the 1-meter.

Chloe Cheevers (Moorpark, CA/Moorpark) was third in the 200-breast.
