LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University men's and women's cross country teams have each been honored with the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross Country All-Academic Teams, the organization today announced. To be eligible, teams must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
"We are always very proud of the accomplishments in all areas by our athletes," said Rider Director of Cross Country, Track & Field
Bob Hamer. "We really try to emphasize and strive for academic excellence and this honor is a reflection of the hard work and commitment by our athletes to live up to that standard."
The women's team posted a 3.68 GPA, while the men's team had a 3.19 GPA. The GPA's include all eligible varsity student-athletes.
