LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team closed out dual meet competition Thursday night, defeating Lafayette 124-116. The Broncs wrap up the dual meet season at 3-4, while the Leopards fall to 0-7.
The Bronc women won nine events in the meet.
To open the night,
Casey Morgan (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.),
Allison Stewart (Newtown Square, PA/Lower Merion),
Hannah Yemec (Bluffton, SC/May River), and
Lea Opdyke (Ocala, FL/West Port) got a win in the 200-medley relay.
Casey McLaughlin (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) carried the momentum into the 1,000-free, earning the win in a time of 10:33.92. She later swam one-two with Opdyke in the 500-free, as the pair posted times of 5:07.80 and 5:18.16.
Yemec and Opdyke swam one-two in the 200-free, going 1:55.89 and 1:55.97, respectively. Yemec then secured the victory in the 100-fly, swimming one-two with
Megan Smith (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy), touching the wall at 57.60 and 59.07.
Morgan won the 50-free in 24.50. She then swam one-two with
Chastity Ruatos (Lodi, NJ/Immaculate Conception) in the 100-back with times of 57.09 and 1:00.79.
In the 100-breast, Stewart swam 1:06.93 for the win.
Karyn Creelman (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) scored 239.25 on the 3-meter to earn a victory in the diving well.

- Creelman also took third on the 1-meter.
- McLaughlin added a second-place finish in the 400-IM.
