Kiersten Buchanan (Holly Springs, NC/Holly Springs) and
Kendall Reda-Fehsal (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) were unanimous selections to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
The honor marks the third-straight season Niegocki has earned All-MAAC honors at utility following First Team selections in each of the last two years. She hit .370 with a 22 runs scored on the year, including a .408 average with 12 runs scored in league games. Her 57 hits out of the leadoff spot easily led the team, as does her 18 multi-hit games. In the circle, Niegocki pitched to a team-leading 1.89 ERA, striking out 60 batters in 59.1 innings. Three of her four wins came in MAAC play.
Stoeckel was another valuable two-way player for the Broncs this year, with her bat coming alive in conference play to earn Second Team honors in the outfield. For the season, she's hit a team-leading .373, including a .490 mark in league games. Her .453 on-base percentage overall and .574 mark in MAAC contests were also team bests. She had eight multi-hit games. She's also contributed in the circle, posting a 3-2 record with a 3.19 ERA in 11 appearances in league games.
Buchanan has hit .328 as the Broncs' rookie shortstop, including a .384 mark in league games. She's tied for the team lead with 10 doubles, while 15 of her 16 RBI's and 11 of her 15 runs scored have come in conference play. Her two triples are also tied for the team lead, with one of them going for a two-run walk-off against Fairfield on April 21.
Reda-Fehsal has also shone in her first campaign in Lawrenceville, hitting .287 with a team-leading 28 RBI's to go along with 17 runs scored. She's tied for the team lead with 10 doubles and is second in home runs with five, pushing her to a team-high 66 total bases. Meanwhile, she's also drawn a team-high 17 walks.
The Broncs are set to open MAAC Championship play as the No. 3 seed against sixth-seeded Siena on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. from Poughkeepsie, NY.
