WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – Rider University men's golf sophomore Ben Ortwein (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) shot 85 Monday to open play at the NCAA West Lafayette Regional at the Kampen-Cosler Course of the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.

Ortwein began the round strong with two par's and a birdie on the Par 4, 482-yard 3^rd hole. But a quadruple bogey on the 4^th hole, 10 bogey's and four par's finished out Ortwein's opening round to place him 74^th.

NOTES
- Vanderbilt leads the team scoring at 277 (-11), six strokes ahead of the field.
- Wisconsin's Cameron Huss shot six-under 66 to lead the individual leaderboard after 18 holes.
