LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University sophomore pitcher Clayton Poliey was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday afternoon following a career-best outing last week vs #6 Duke.

For Poliey it is his first MAAC Pitcher of the Week honor of his career and his second MAAC weekly award after being named MAAC Rookie of the Week following his debut last season. Poliey received the honor following his stellar outing in his first career start vs #6 Duke last Tuesday. Poliey pitched a career-high eight scoreless innings, fanning eight Blue Devils as Rider took down #6 Duke 6-2 in Durham. 

Rider returns to action later on today at 3:00 PM vs Rutgers and opens up MAAC play vs Quinnipiac this weekend March 22-24.
