LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J- The Rider University Wrestling team was able to come from behind to defeat Lock Haven 27-11 thanks to a pair of sudden victory decisions from Richie Koehler and Isaac Dean on Friday night to stay perfect in MAC duals. With the win, Rider moves to 4-5 and 4-0 in the Mid-American and Lock Haven falls to 5-8 and 2-2 in the MAC.

Rider's first win came in upset fashion from Richie Koehler over #32 Gable Strickland. Strickland and Koehler added to their long history with another nail-biter with Koehler coming on top 4-1 thanks to a takedown in the extra period, getting a bit of revenge on last year's MAC Champion at 133.

The Broncs dropped the next two bouts at 141 and 149 however saw victories the rest of the way starting at 157 with Colton Washleski scoring his team-best 21st win of the season.

Jake Silverstein returned to the Broncs lineup with a strong showing vs Eric Alderfer. Silverstein controlled the first two periods going out to a 9-4 advantage after a pair of second-period takedowns.

Michael Wilson matched Silverstein's win with Rider's first bonus point win of the night with a major decision over Tyler Stoltzfus 15-7 to give the Broncs the lead 13-11 in the dual scoring.

Isaac Dean added to the winning ways with the second clutch win for the Broncs over Colin Fegley in sudden victory. Dean and Fegley traded escapes in the second and third periods however Dean was seconds away from scoring a takedown in the final moments of the third but ran out of time leading the bout to sudden victory. In the extra period, Dean took down Fegley 20 seconds in and added four backpoints scoring the victory and helped Rider seal their first victory over Lock Haven since 2020.

Azeem Bell and David Szuba locked up the Rider win with a pair of victories and 197 and Heavyweight. Bell sealed the win for Rider with a medical forfeit win over Brad Morrison. Szuba matched the win for Bell with a dominant win with a tech fall win over Ethan Miller.
