Davon Ortega has announced that five-year Broncs student-athlete Gianna
Epps will transition from the field to the coaching staff.
A five-year starter on the Rider infield, starting 167 of 175 games played in Cranberry and White,
Epps contributed 97 hits and 52 runs scored, while fortifying the Broncs defensively. Rider's starting shortstop in her last two seasons, she scored a career-high 21 runs in her final season of 2023 and stole five bases. She also achieved in the classroom, earning
MAAC All-Academic Team honors each of her final three years.
Epps graduated with a degree in health sciences and went on to pursue her masters in Organizational Leadership.
