Women's Track & Field Wraps Up Action at Miami Alumni Invitational and TCNJ Lion Invite

Throwers excel in Rider's two meets on the weekend

EWING, NJ and MIAMI, FL- Rider University women's Track and Field finished off their weekend at the Miami Alumni Invitational and in Ewing for the TCNJ Lion Invite.

In Miami, Rider would get another strong showing from Natya Glasco in the Shot Put taking home 7th with a mark of 13.63. For Glasco the 13.63m mark is her best of the spring and a tenth of a meter off from her MAAC title mark set in the Indoor season.

Raisa Thunig would perform well in the Long Jump finishing 8th overall jumping 5.77m. Thunig has been incredible for the Broncs so far hitting her second-best mark of the Spring in South Florida.

Grace Ramsey would round out Rider's top performers finishing 8th in the Javelin with a 39.04m mark. Ramsey's throw in Miami is her second-best of the Spring with her best coming at the Big 5 Invitational last weekend with a 39.09m mark.

At TCNJ, the Broncs would be highlighted by Chika Efobi who would win the Shot Put with a throw of 13.53m. Efobi has been excellent in the outdoor season taking home first place previously at the Rider 5-Way and 2nd at the Big 5 Invitational. Rider would pick up the top three spots in the Shot Put with Maura Baker (2nd/13.32m) and Samantha Kamara (3rd/12.50m) in Ewing.

Kamara would also get the job done in the Hammer Throw finishing top two with a mark of 48.29m.

Elsewhere at the Lion Invite, Gabrielle Vetere would have an impressive showing clearing 3.40m in the Pole Vault to take home 1st place in the event. The finish at the Lion Invite is also the first time the Freshman Vaulter would take home the gold in a meet in her career.

On the track, Rider would be led by Valencia Gosser finishing 3rd in the 100m with a time of 12.45.
