PHILADELPHIA, PA- Rider University Women's Track and Field traveled down to Philadelphia as they took part in the Big 5 Invitational hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.

Valencia Gosser highlighted Rider in Philadelphia as she would finish 3rd in the 100m with a new PR of 12.43. The new best mark is not only a collegiate-best but a lifetime best for the Freshman Sprinter from Barnegat.
Mariah Stephens would sit right behind Gosser in fourth with a time of 12.50.

Hailey Palmer would also have a good showing in University City finishing the 400m with a time of 57.77 good for 5th overall at the event.

In the field, Rider would get standout performances from
Samantha Kamara,
Mariah Stephens,
Savanna Marcantonio, and
Raisa Thunig. Kamara would lead things in the throwing events finishing 5th in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.46m. Stephens would start the trio of jumpers with 3rd place finishes doing so with an 11.77m in the triple jump. Marcantonio would clear 1.61m in the high jump en route to a 3rd-place finish, and Thunig would round out the trio with a mark of 5.49m in the long jump.
