Schein-Becker Crushes 800m Record at ECAC/IC4As

Rider picks up seven All-East honors

BOSTON, MATeagan Schein-Becker re-set the Rider record in the 800m as well as breaking the all-time ECAC/IC4A Championship meet record as Rider would finish 5th overall on Sunday afternoon.

Schein-Becker would run a 2:02.59 in the 800m finals taking the ECAC/IC4A title and shattering the previous Rider record of 2:06.18, which she set less than 24 hours prior. The new Rider record is also tied for 10th in the country this season

Schein-Becker's day was not finished however as she would run the anchor leg of the DMR which Rider would also go on to win. The relay team of Jordan O'Neill, Hailey Palmer, Lydia Wallace, and Schein-Becker would also break the Rider record in the DMR with a time of 11:28.96 crushing the previous record of 11:37.57 which the same relay team set earlier this year.

The Broncs would round out the competition in the field events as Natya Glasco would continue her great meet picking up her second All-East honor in the shot put with a 12.88m mark finishing 8th overall.

Quotes and Notes
"We had a great Sunday. The women took advantage of their opportunities today. The women's team has grown a lot over the last few years. The goal for the athletes used to be just to get here, now they expect to accomplish great things. It has been fun watching this growth.

Teagan was outstanding today. She won the 800 in a meet record and Rider record time. She is so dialed in right now and running with so much confidence. She is also a great team player. She came back to anchor the DMR to victory as well and she is really invested in the success of her teammates.

Glasco earned her second All East honor of the weekend. She has been very competitive in all the big meets for us this year. It is a great honor to be All East in two events.

I am really proud of the relays today. This is an area of the program that has grown so much over the last two years. The women are very committed to the success of the relays and the success of their teammates. They believe in accomplishing so much together and it raises all of their performances.  " - Rider Head Coach Bob Hamer
