EDINBORO, PA- The Rider Broncs Wrestling team dominated Edinboro, 28-6, to end their three-dual losing streak. With the win, the Broncs move to 5-5 on the season and 3-1 in MAC duals.
Rider started out strong with a pair of bonus point wins from
Tyler Klinsky and
McKenzie Bell picking up a tech fall and a major decision respectively. Klinsky led the bout 4-1 going into the first period before outscoring Eamonn Jimenez 19-7 in the final two periods.
For Bell, it's his fourth major decision in his last five bouts. Bell went on to pitch a shutout vs Zach Soda 10-0 to give the Broncs a 12-0 lead after three bouts.
After giving up wins at 149 and 157, Rider would sweep the rest of the dual including wins from
Ethan Laird and
David Szuba. Szuba picked up Rider's third bonus point decision of the night and his eighth bonus point victory of the year.
Ethan Laird also picked up a monumential victory at 197 against Cody Mulligian. The win gives Laird his 100th collegiate win including 11 as a redshirt last year.
