LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University women's track & field student-athletes Samantha Kamara (Parlin, NJ/Sayreville) and Hailey Palmer (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) have been chosen as MAAC Track and Field Performer of Week, respectively, the league office today announced.

Kamara won the weight throw at the Rutgers Holiday Classic with a throw of 17.28m. It is an ECAC qualifying mark and the #9 mark all-time at Rider.

Palmer broke a Rider record in the 300m, running 40.45. The record had stood since 1999.

The Broncs return to action following the holidays on Jan. 12, when they take part in the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
