LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University men's golf sophomore Ben Ortwein (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) has been named MAAC Men's Golfer of the Month for September, the league office today announced. Ortwein posted a team-best 70.8 stroke average over five rounds in September.

Included in the month was a third-place finish at the Temple Invitational, shooting an even-par 140 for the tournament. He also shot four-over for the three-round Doc Gimmler, including a final-round 67 at the Bethpage Red Course.

The Broncs return to action Sunday, when they begin play in the three-day, three-round Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, PA.
