The game's lone goal came in the 78th minute as Emily Streett sent a ball into the 18-year-box and found Erin Antone, who headed it past Rider Goalkeeper Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/ Randolph) along the left post to secure the win.

However, Rider clinched their program-best 11th straight postseason appearance, finishing as the sixth seed. Rider will travel to third-seeded Canisius on Sunday for a rematch of last year's MAAC Quarterfinals vs. the Golden Griffins.
