STATEN ISLAND, NY- The Rider Women's Track and Field squad had an excellent showing at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite as they were able to break program records in the 4x200 and the 800m.
The other Rider record was set by
Teagan Schein-Becker who won the 800m with a time of 2:10.63 breaking the previous Broncs' record set by Tori Brewer in 2018 of 2:12.71. The record-setting performance for Schein-Becker is her second time being put in the record books adding to her performance in the mile last season at ECAC/IC4A's. The Broncs were able to dominate the 800m as
Lydia Wallace was also able to break the previous school record with her 2:12.14 2nd place finish. Rider fully rounded out the top three with
Raihana Yameogo's 3rd-place finish of 2:19.03.
The reigning MAAC Track Performer of the Week
Mariah Stephens was able to get it done in both the 60m Hurdles (8.75) and the Triple Jump (11.60m), winning both events.
