- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll after reaching the MAAC Tournament for the ninth-straight year in 2021. The Broncs received one first-place vote.

Chloe Fisher was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team after leading the Broncs with six goals, four assists and 16 points last season. She also earned All-MAAC Second Team honors.

Makenzie Rodrigues is also back this season. She's scored at least four goals in each of her first three seasons at Rider, including five last season. She's scored 15 goals for her career.

Ellie Sciancalepore, who posted a 1.42 goals-against average and a .818 saves percentage last season. Included in her production were two games with double-digit saves. Â

th season, having compiled 107 wins in his time at the helm.
- Rider is 7-5-0 all-time against Wagner, including wins in seven of the last nine meetings. The Seahawks took a 3-2 win in last year's season opener. Â Â Â
- Wagner posted an 8-10 record last season, including a 5-5 mark in the Northeast Conference. The Seahawks were picked fifth in the NEC Preseason Poll. They return All-NEC First Team pick and the conference's leading scorer, Madison Carr, who netted nine goals last season, including two against the Broncs. Â Â
- Rider returns nine starters from last year's team, including 88 percent of its scoring from a year ago. Â
