WEST WINDSOR, NJ –
The Rider University women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 at the Mercer Tennis Tennis Center by the Loyola University Greyhounds. With the loss, the Broncs end the season at 3-10, while the Greyhounds improve to 11-5-1.
Loyola took the doubles with two match wins. In the singles,
Angelica Garcia came out victorious in her final match as a Bronc. The Loyola momentum was took much, sealing their 6-1 victory over the Broncs on Senior Day.
"The three-set loss haunted us all season, luckily we pulled two of those out today, which was encouraging. We will miss our seniors as this was our last home match. I hope they know they were part of something great here at Rider and their efforts will live on for life." - Rider Head Coach
