Women's Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Rutgers Holiday Classic

Broncs post multiple PRs at season opener at the Armory.

NEW YORK, NY – Lydia Wallace led the Broncs with a first-place finish in the 800m in Rider's season-opening event at the Armory.

Rider dominated the 800m with both Broncs finishing in the top two, Wallace finishing first with a time of 2:19:82 and Morgan Jackson in second with a PR of 2:24:50.

Sophomore Hailey Palmer put together a pair of PRs in the 200m and 400m. In the 400m, Palmer finished second with a time of 58.46 and in the 200m finished sixth with a time of 26.02.

Mariah Stephens rounded out the Broncs' top performers as she took home top-five finishes in the 60m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump. Stephens placed fourth in the long jump with a 5.34m mark and fifth in the triple jump with an 11.10m mark. Stephens also set a new PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.74 to finish second overall.
