NEWARK, NJ – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team was in action Saturday afternoon, falling to Stony Brook 166-103. The Broncs fall to 0-6 on the season, while the Seawolves improved to 4-1.
Rider won four events on the day.
Connar Melcher (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) got the Broncs first win of the meet in the 50-free. She touched the wall at 24.98.
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) and
Giavanna Lupi (Vineland, NJ/Vineland) swam one-two in the 100-fly, stopping the clock at 58.03 and 59.66 respectively. McMahon followed that with a win in the 200-IM with a time of 2:12.13.
The Broncs closed out the day with a win in the 200-free relay.
Sarah Fondacaro (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township), Melcher,
Julia Stellato (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde), and
Aleena De Sir (Fredericksburg, VA/Massaponax) won the event in 1:42.15.

- Lupi finished second in the 200-free and the 100-free.
- Stellato took second in the 100-back.

Allison Stewart (Newtown Square, PA/Lower Merion) and
Maire Wilson (Kennett Square, PA/Saint Mark's) swam two-three in the 100-breast. Stewart also took third in the 200-breast, where
Meaghan Keegan (Jersey Shore, PA/Jersey Shore Area) was second.
- McMahon also placed second in the 200-fly.
- In the 50-free, De Sir took third.

Maddy Altieri (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) was second on the 1-meter.
