- Rider opened the year with a 3-2 loss to Wagner on Aug. 20 and a 4-2 win over St. Francis Brooklyn to give the Broncs a 1-1 start to their 2021 season.
- In the season opener,
Makenzie Rodrigues (Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge) andÂ
Chloe Fisher (Warrington, England/Cronton Sixth Form College [Kansas State] scored the Broncs two goals.
- Against St. Francis Brooklyn, Fisher led the offense, scoring a goal herself, as well as assisting on both of
Makenzie Rodrigues's goals and
Emily Delusi's (Philadephia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) goal to rack up three assists.

Lindsey Maslow (Hanover, MA/Hanover) and
Nikki Arrington (Middletown, MA/Masconomet Regional) also contributed assists in the 4-2 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Rider is 0-1-0 all-time against Villanova. The first meeting between the occurred back in 2003, where the Wildcats came away with a 2-0 victory.
- Villanova is currently 3-0, with a 2-1 OT win over Drexel University, a 4-1 win over the University of Delaware, and a 3-0 win over Colorado College.
- Chloe O'Neill has scored three goals so far this season, while Lauren Belcuore has scored two goals, and Brice McInroy, Megan Donnelly, Reagan Smith and Niki Molina have each scored one goal each as well.
- O'Neill and Smith have both distributed two assists, while Brice McInroy, Susanna Soderman, Belcuore and Francesca Yanchuck, have all contributed one assist.
- Megan McClay has seen every minute of action for Villanova in the net. She has posted 16 saves this season thus far.
- Both Rider goalies,
Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) and
Rachel Ross (Yorktown Heights, NY/Somers) have posted five saves so far this season.
Ellie Sciancalepore has played all 90 minutes versus Wagner, and
Rachel Ross played all 90 minutes versus St. Francis Brooklyn.
- The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll.Â
Niamh Cashin (Nottingham, England/All Saints Academy) and Rodrigues were selected for the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
