Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro H.S. North),
Angelica Garcia (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) and
Ally Garofoli (Springboro, OH/Springboro) each won singles matches, but the Rider University women's tennis team lost a 4-3 decision to Delaware State Tuesday. With the loss, the Broncs conclude their season at 2-7, while the Hornets are now 5-4.
The Hornets swept the doubles points. The closest the Broncs came to a victory was at Nos. 1 and 3, where they took a pair of 6-3 setbacks.
In singles, Garcia defeated Klaudija Lisovska, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2, while Garofoli defeated Iris Leder, 6-1, 6-2. Binder also took a 6-4, 6-4, win at No. 5. But the Hornets won the remaining three flights to secure the 4-3 match victory.
