Women’s Cross Country finishes 7th at the ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships

Schein-Becker leads the Broncs with an 8th place finish

BRONX, NY – The Rider University women's cross-country team finished 7th at the ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships at Van Cortland Park Saturday. The ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships featured five MAAC programs, with the Broncs finishing behind Siena, Monmouth, and Marist, but ahead of Manhattan.

Senior Teagan Schein-Becker (Trappe, PA/Perkiomen Valley) was the Broncs' top finisher, completing the 6-kilometer course in in 18:33, good for 8thMackenzie Greenfield (Old Forge, PA/Holy Cross) took 30th in 19:15, while Oliva de la Torre Coca (Sevilla, Spain/I.E.S Fernando Herrera) took 34th at 19:21. Sarah Eskew (Dresher, PA/Upper Dublin)(20:27, 73rd), Haley Arguien (Churchville, NJ/Churchville-Chili)(21:00, 98th), and Syndey DelVecchio (Allentown, PA/Parkland )(21:50, 116th) rounded out the Broncs' finishers..

"The women got some strong races from our top three today with each of them earning All East honors. Teagan lead the way again with another nice race to finish 8th overall. She has been great all year for this team. She's been the leader and always brings it. It was great to see her finish in the top ten and earn All East honors."

- Central Connecticut's Angelina Rafter was the individual winner in the 6 kilometer, finishing in 17:54.
- Columbia won the ECAC/IC4A Champsionships as a team, with the third, fourth, 13th, 17th, and 22nd place finishers.
- Schein-Becker, Greenfield, and de la Torre Coca earned All East Honors for their finshes.
