What You Need To Know
- This is the first meet for Rider since the ECAC Championships in March of 2020.
- In 2020, the men's swimming and diving team won their ninth-straight MAAC Championship.
- The Bronc men claimed seven of the nine available first-place votes to take the top spot in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Rider returns
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional), who won the 1,650-free at the 2020 MAAC Championships with an NCAA B-Cut time of 15:21.89.
- The Broncs also return
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross), who won a silver medal in the 200-free with a time of 1:38.71 and a bronze medal in the 200-back with a time of 1:47.29 at the 2020 MAAC Championships.
- The Rider women earned a first-place vote in the coaches poll, being picked to place fifth overall.
- The women will be led by
Kayla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills), who won the 100-back and the 200-IM at the 2020 MAAC Championships, with time of 55.03 and 2:04.34, respectively.
- Other returning medal winners for Rider from the 2020 MAAC Championships include
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) and
Maddie McSorley (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy), who each earned a silver medal at the event. McMahon was second in the 100-fly with a time of 55.86 and McSorley went 2:04.04 for second in the 200-fly.
- The Rider men are 14-14 all-time against the Pirates. The Broncs defeated Seton Hall the last time these teams met in the Coppola Pool back in 2018. The Pirates topped Rider in the most recent meeting between the programs in 2019.
- The Rider women trail the all-time series against Seton Hall 21-10. The Broncs last came out on top in the 2009-10 season.
