POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team were defeated 163-125 in a MAAC dual-meet at Marist Saturday afternoon. The Broncs fall to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in conference meets this season. The Red Foxes improved to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the MAAC.
The Bronc women won eight events in the meet.
Rider opened the meet with a victory in the 200-medley relay.
Kayla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Hills),
Allison Stewart (Newtown Square, PA/Lower Merion),
Giavanna Lupi (Vineland, NJ/Vineland), and
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St.Mary's) combined to touch the wall at 1:48.49, over three seconds ahead of the second place.
May then won the 100-back by over two seconds, finishing with a time of 57.59. May would go on to win the 200-back with a winning time of 2:07.52 and the 200-IM, stopping the clock at 2:12.32.
Stewart led a Bronc sweep in the 100-breast with a time of 1:08.79, ahead of
Sarah Fondacaro's (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) 1:09.54 and
Meaghan Keegan's (Jersey Shore, PA/Jersey Shore Area) 1:10.38. Stewart then won the 200-breast, touching the wall with a time of 2:30.94.
McMahon won the 200-fly in 2:09.75 and 100-fly in 58.90.

- Lupi was also third in the 100-fly.

- McMahon added a third-place finish in the 100-free.
