Women's Soccer Takes On Marist Wednesday Night

Broncs look to build on Saturday's double-overtime win

What You Need To Know
- Wednesday evening's game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
- Rider is currently 4-6-2, 2-3-1 MAAC on the season. The Broncs' most recently picked up a win in double overtime vs. Manhattan on Ben Cohen Field, with Chloe Fisher scoring the golden goal in the 106th minute.
-Chloe Fisher leads Rider with 14 points and is tied with Makenzie Rodrigues for team-leading goals, each with five. Fisher also has the team-lead for assists with four.
-Rider opened MAAC play against reigning MAAC Champion Siena, where Makenzie Rodrigues added her first assist for the season when Chloe Fisher scored her fourth goal for the season.
-Against Monmouth, Ellie Sciancalepore posted her career-high with 14 saves in the draw. 
-Hosting Canisius, Ellie Sciancalepore posted her second shutout of the season, while Gabriela Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela) picked up her first collegiate goal, and Makenzie Rodrigues (Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge) contributed a goal as well to secure the win, 2-0.
-Ellie Sciancalepore earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in both shutouts against Monmouth and Canisius.
-Ellie Sciancalepore has posted 76 saves with a save percentage of 0.817 and a total of 1041 minutes in the net this season.
- Rider is 8-16-1 all-time against Marist. The last meeting between the two teams occurred in October 2019, where the Broncs came away with a 1-0 victory.
-Marist is currently 4-4-2, 3-2-1 MAAC, with losses to Loyola (1-0), Army (1-0), and MAAC opponents Quinnipiac (1-0), and Siena (1-0). Marist has tied Maine (1-1), and MAAC opponent Fairfield (1-1). The Red Foxes have earned wins vs. Fordham (2-1), and MAAC opponents Saint Peters (2-1), Canisius (1-0), Iona (1-0).
- Amanda Calarelli leads Marist with six points for the season after posting a team-leading three goals. Bridget Dudziec is leading the Red Foxes in assists, posting four for the season.
-Natalie Kelchner has seen 954 minutes of action in the net for the Red Foxes and has posted 55 saves with a save percentage of 0.873 in the 2021 season so far.
- In the season opener, Makenzie Rodrigues (Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge) and Chloe Fisher (Warrington, England/Cronton Sixth Form College [Kansas State]) scored the Broncs two goals.
- Against St. Francis Brooklyn, Chloe Fisher led the offense, scoring a goal herself, as well as assisting on both of Makenzie Rodrigues' goals and Emily Deluisi's (Philadephia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) goal to rack up three assists.
- Lindsey Maslow (Hanover, MA/Hanover) and  Nikki Arrington (Middletown, MA/Masconomet Regional) also contributed assists in the 4-2 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Against Villanova, Makenzie Rodrigues scored the lone goal that Rider had in the game.
-Chloe Fisher and Camryn Dees' (Pickerington, OH/Pickerington H.S. North) both assisted with the goal in the game versus Villanova.
-Against Temple, Nikki Arrington (Middleton, MA/Masconomet Regional) scored her first goal of the season and Ailis Martin (Mahopac, NY/ Mahopac) recorded her first assist of the season in the tie-game against Temple.
-NJIT fell to Rider 2-1 after Hannah Freeman (Lowville, NY/Lowville) scored her first goal, and Chloe Fisher scored her third for the season. Lindsey Maslow (Hanover, MA/Hanover) added an assist with Fisher's goal.
-In the game against NJIT, goalkeeper Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made both a 50-50 save and a diving save to help secure the Rider victory.
-Rachel Ross (Yorktown Heights, NY/Somers) has also made one start in net for the Broncs this season, posting five saves in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn.
-The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Niamh Cashin (Nottingham, England/All Saints Academy) and Makenzie Rodrigues were selected for the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
-Makenzie Rodrigues is the reigning MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
