LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University baseball dropped its 2020 home opener to La Salle, 14-4, on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action on Sonny Pittaro Field.

The Broncs (6-8) suffered their fifth straight loss, while the Explorers (5-9) snapped a seven-game losing streak with the win.

La Salle opened the scoring in the top of the second with a solo homer. The guests would add three insurance runs in the third before breaking the game open with a five-run outburst in the fourth.

Freshman
Jake Andrey (Cherry Hill, NJ/The King's Christian School) was saddled with the loss as he tossed two and thirds innings and surrendered four earned run.
