Peter Komosinski (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Laurel Springs) won at No. 2 singles, but the Rider University men's tennis team fell to Loyola (Md.), 5-1, Monday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs close out the season at 3-12, while the Greyhounds improve to 7-11.
Komosinski took a 6-1, 6-1, win over Skyler Gates. But Loyola took the remaining five singles flights.
Lysander Payano Almonte (New Brunswick, NJ/Colegio Quusquey/Rockland C.C.) and
Griffin Clark (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) were both highly competitive in their singles matches. Payano Almonte fell to Benny Glezer, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 3, while Clark was defeated by Matt Fitzmaurice, 6-2, 7-6, at No. 5.
Doubles matches were not contested.
