LEWISBURG, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team opened action at the 2019 Bucknell Invitational on Friday. The three-day event features a field of six teams and is being contested at the Kinney Natatorium.

Through the first day of action, Rider is in second-place with 334 total points.

Junior
Dillon Walles (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands High School) continued to impress. He won the 3M diving event with an NCAA-zone qualifying score of 311.10 in the finals. Â

Rider capped the evening with a victory by the 400 medley relay. The quartet of
Justin Carey (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove),
Andrew Iannacone (Yardley, PA/Holy Ghost Prep),
Cole May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) and
Daniel Bonge (Allentown, PA/Salisbury High School) won with a time of 3:19.34. The Broncs edged second-place La Salle in the event by 0:00.06 seconds.

Kyle Iorizzo came in second-place in the 500 free with a time of 4:32.78 in the finals.

Lucas Racevicius came in fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:52.12 in the finals.

David Rucci finished fifth in the 200 IM with a mark of 1:52.32 in the finals.

Daniel Bonge came in sixth-place in the 50 free with a time of 20.72 in the finals.

Patrik Rollefson finished seventh in the 3M with ascore of 245.55 in the finals.

Rider gets day two of the Bucknell Invitational underway with the prelims for six events at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 7. Finals action is slated to get underway at 6:00pm with eight events (200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, women's 1M diving and 800 free relay) taking place.
