LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Rider University men's tennis team was swept by Marist, 7-0, Sunday afternoon to close out the dual match schedule for the fall. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 1-6 (0-4 MAAC), while the Red Foxes are now 1-0 (1-0 MAAC).
The Red Foxes took all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
Pablo Salar Carrera and
Adrian Tsui played the closest match, falling at No. 1 to Nestor Giribet Lopez and John Oxner, 6-4.
Tsui also played the most competitive singles match, falling in three sets to Augusto Gonzalez Bonorino, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, at No. 3.
The Broncs close out the fall schedule with next week's ITA Regionals at Penn. Qualifying begins Thursday, while main draw matches run from Friday, Oct. 18 through Tuesday, Oct. 22.
