NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Rider University women's tennis team fell to Niagara, 7-0, Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 2-16 (0-6 MAAC), while the Purple Eagles are now 9-17 (4-3 MAAC).

The Purple Eagles decisively took the doubles point with 6-1 wins at Nos. 1 and 2 and a 6-0 victory at No. 3. Niagara also took all six singles flights in straight sets.

The closest match the Broncs played came at No. 4, where Danielle Scrudato (Califon, NJ/Voorhees) pushed Ali Hutchinson to a 6-4, 6-3, final score. Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro North) also played a highly-competitive match against Chhinda Som, but fell, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 3.
