NEWARK, DE – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team split a tri-meet against Delaware and La Salle on Saturday afternoon. The Broncs defeated the Explorers, 161-138, and fell to the Blue Hens, 213-86, in the event hosted by Delaware. Â
The Broncs (2-4) have now defeated La Salle and Siena this season.
On the day, Rider won three events, highlighted by sweeping the diving events.
Freshman
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) delivered another strong performance for the Broncs. She won the 100 fly for the third straight meet thanks to posting a time of at 58.45.
Sophomore
Maeve Lersch (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper Saint Clair) posted a second-place result in the 200 back with a time of 2:10.53.Â
Junior
Olivia Iswalt (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) came in second-place in the 50 free with a time of 25.02. Â
In the diving events, junior
Meg Tomayko (Murfreesboro, TN/Siegel) and senior
Breanne Hatter (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown HS South) both performed well. Tomayko won the 3M event with a score of 237.95, while Hatter won the 1M with a mark of 232.25.

Rider returns to action in two weeks, traveling to the Ocean State to compete in the three-day Bruno Invite hosted by Brown University. The event takes place November 30 -Â December 2.Â
