Monica Clark (Bryn Mawr, PA/Archbishop Carroll) had a team-high four hits, including three doubles in Game 2, but the Rider University softball team was edged by Saint Peter's, 5-3 and 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Jaroschak Field. With the losses, the Broncs wrap up the season at 6-44 (1-19 MAAC).
In Game 1, the Peacocks took a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly to center in the bottom of the third. The Broncs tied the game on
Alexa Feliciano's (Thousand Oaks, CA/Oak Park) RBI single in the top of the fourth to score
Ellie Oruska (Chadds Ford, PA/Garnet Valley) and took the lead on
Amanda Jordan's (Somerset, NJ/Franklin Township) RBI single to score Clark in the top of the fifth. Later in the frame, the lead extended to 3-1 on
Maddy Chain's RBI double to plate Jordan. But Saint Peter's would get four in the bottom of the sixth to take the 5-3 victory. The big blow came on Brianna Hutchinson's two-out, three-run double.
In Game 2, the Broncs got a runner into scoring position in six of the seven innings, but couldn't score. The Peacocks plated runs in the first and sixth innings and got a complete-game shutout from Alyssa Ruiz for the 2-0 victory.

Elyse Cuttic (Easton, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) took the loss in relief in Game 1, allowing three earned runs on four hits in one inning pitched.

Delany DeMello (Roseville, CA/Roseville) started Game 1 and took a no decision. She allowed two earned runs on six hits and five walks in five-plus innings pitched. She struck out four.

Kaitlyn Kallert (Woodland Park, NJ/Passaic Valley) was the losing pitcher in Game 2, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and a walk in 5.1 innings pitched. She struck out four.

Megan Ailand (Burlingame, CA/Burlingame) pitched 0.2 innings of relief in Game 2, allowing only a walk.
