LAWRENCEVILLE, NJMonica Clark (Bryn Mawr, PA/Archbishop Carroll) had two hits and a runs scored, but the Rider University softball team was swept by Wagner, 10-2 and 10-0, Wednesday afternoon at Herb and Joan Young Field. With the losses, the Broncs fall to 3-18, while the Seahawks improve to 6-15.

Wagner immediately scored two unearned runs in the first inning of Game 1 and never trailed on the day. The Broncs got a run back in the bottom of the first, with Clark leading off with a single before Gabby Bram (Jackson, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) singled her home with two outs. A two-out infield single in the top of the third extended the Wagner lead to 3-1. But Wagner scored two in the fifth, four in the sixth and one more in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

The Seahawks pounced on the Broncs again in Game 2, scoring five in the first, one in the second and four in the third to build a 10-0 lead. Wagner pitchers Amelia Van Orman and Gina Massaro did the rest, limiting the Broncs to just one Clark hit to lead off the bottom of the first.
