PISCATAWAY-The Broncs spilt a pair of dual meets with Ivy Leaguers Harvard and Brown Friday night at Rutgers. "Harvard did enough to win and they out-wrestled us," said Rider head coach Gary Taylor.  "We had some good performances against Brown."

For Rider (4-3), junior Jim Resnick (Media, Pa./Penncrest), who is ranked 13th in the nation by InterMat and 18th by Amateur Wrestling News, senior Jimmy Kirchner (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) and sophomore James Brundage (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) all won both of their matches Friday.

"Resnick is still not 100 percent healthy but it was nice to get him back in the line-up tonight," Taylor said. "He's battling through it and he did a nice job tonight."

In the win over Brown, freshman Jimmy Morris (Northport, NY/St. Anthony's), sophomore Ramon Santiago (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville), freshman Donald McNeil (Plainville, Mass./Wyoming Seminary) and sophomore Evan Craig (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) also compiled victories.

"Ramon beat the kid (Giuseppi Lanzi) who beat him twice earlier this year," Taylor said.

Against Harvard, sophomore Chuck Zeisloft (Woodbury Heights, N.J./Gateway) also collected a win.

The Broncs were competing without junior Zac Cibula (Luxemburg, Wis./Luxemburg Casco), the 2011 CAA Championships Most Outstanding Wrestler, and freshman Clint Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) who are injured.

"We're still struggling with injuries but we just have to deal with it and get through it," Taylor said. "We're going to try to get healthy for the Virginia Duals (January 13-14) or the CAA duals (January 21). It would be nice to have our full line-up at some point in time."

The Broncs take to the mat again Sunday at the University of Pennsylvania. "Penn is a tough team," Taylor said. "I'd feel a lot better if we had everyone in the line-up, but that's where we are at. We're going to show up and we're going to wrestle hard and we'll see where it's at at the end of the day."
