What You Need To Know
- Rider and Iona are meeting for the 62nd time, with IC owning a 36-25 lead in the all-time series. Iona won 2-of-3 last season, including the MAAC Quarters. 
- Anthony Durham has stepped up of late, hitting 20 of his last 23 attempts from inside the three-point arc. He also dished out a career-high seven assists vs. QU.
- The Rider defense came up big in a 99-76 win at Niagara on Dec. 31, holding the league's top two scorers (Matt Scott - 23.6 ppg., Kahlil Dukes - 21.8 ppg. entering the game) to a combined 18 points.
- Frederick Scott was named to the Lou Henson mid-season Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.
- Rider shot 50 percent or better in three-straight - 52.0 percent (39-75) on Dec. 31 at Niagara, 50.0 percent (32-64) Jan. 5 vs. Fairfield and a season-high 53.0 percent (35-66) Jan. 7 at Manhattan, before shooting 48.5 percent (33-68) against Quinnipiac on Jan. 12.
- Frederick Scott hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to cap a comeback from down 10 in the second half at Penn State.
- Stevie Jordan has been solid all-around (14.1 ppg, 6.8 apg, 4.3 rpg and 2.2 spg). 
- RU and IC each lost to Canisius consecutive for their lone MAAC setbacks.
 - The Gaels are led by Rickey McGill, whose 14.0 points and 4.8 assists per game are both team highs. Deyshonee Much has added 12.2 points per game, while E.J. Crawford also averages in double figures at 11.6 points per game.
- Sixth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 96-85 record and reached the MAAC Quarterfinals in each of his first five seasons. Baggett was the 2015 MAAC Coach of the Year.
